Do Boots Hearingcare offer home hearing tests?...

Hearing aid dispensing, believe it or not, started as a bespoke home service before transitioning to practice. Making hearing tests, fittings and check-ups accessible to everyone, anywhere. This service is still available - but, do all hearing aid dispensers offer this? The short answer is no. Let’s delve a little deeper and see which highstreet clinics, like Boots, provide home visits.

When many people think about getting a hearing aid their minds will turn to Boots Hearing Care. Boots is a popular place to get hearing aids from and there are almost 400 Boots Hearingcare shops nationwide.

There are around 500 independent hearing aid dispensers operating throughout the UK. A local independent hearing aid audiologist is usually the best place to obtain your hearing aids.

Bloom are one of the smaller national hearing aid retailers. They used to be called Regional Hearing Services until they were acquired by Widex. They have about 20 branches and about 50 dispensers.

Specsavers Hearing Centres are the largest retailer of hearing aids in the UK. They employ about 150 dispensers who operate from around 400 locations – usually Specsavers opticians.

Amplifon are one of the larger national retailers and operate in 18 countries. Their global head office is in Milan, Italy. In the UK they are based near Manchester (close to the airport). They have about 140 branches and employ around 100 dispensers.
