Launched in February 2024, along with Omnia's feature set, Resound Nexia hearing aids introduced the next step in Bluetooth wireless with the world's first Auracast broadcast audio technology in hearing aids.
What does this mean? Resound Nexia will not only give you Android and MFi audio streaming but will also receive Auracast broadcasts. This will become available within the next few years in places such as airports, arenas, and places of worship. Effectively replacing the old loop system within such venues.
There is a general 150% improvement in speech understanding in noise as well as being even better in background noise (when comparing the new microRIE with the last small RIC).
Resound has stated that this is due to their combination of narrow beamforming directionality for hearing in noise and their omni-directional listening. Thus, allowing wearers to hear at their best in various environments.
Environmental Optimiser II: As well as adjusting volume per environment, Environmental Optimiser II can tailor adaptive noise reduction per environment. This means you get a nice balance of adaptable hearing in various environments and comfort in noise.
DFS Ultra III: This reduces feedback as well as maintaining amplification without losing sound quality. This means you don't experience feedback or sudden sound reduction, which is what some other hearing aids do to prevent feedback.
360 All-Around: Uses real-time data about your environment and sound direction and adjusts giving you sound from all directions so you can focus on what you want to.
Front Focus: The same as above but gives extra emphasis on the person in front of you so you can hear through the noise in conversation.
Resound Nexia hearing aids were initially launched in four Receiver in Canal (RIC) hearing aids, with one being a CROS. Now the lineup includes both rechargeable and traditional battery-operated options in RIC, BTE, power BTE, CROS, and custom hearing aid models.
When asked in their research and development phase, 70% of hearing aid wearers said they preferred small, more discreet hearing aid styles. This is why Resound has designed the new microRIE - their smallest rechargeable model to date.
microRIE: Small rechargeable hearing aid (24% smaller than their standard RICs) with Lithium-ion all-day battery, tap control, push button, streams calls from mobiles, connects to Resounds wireless accessories (like the TV-Streamer+), and can be charged with premium, standard, and desktop chargers.

RIE 62: 13 Zinc-Air battery, multi-function button, telecoil, connects to Resounds wireless accessories (like the TV-Streamer+) and streams calls from mobiles.
CROS: Rechargeable Lithium-ion all-day battery, push button, and can be charged with the premium, standard, or desktop charger.

ITC/ITE: Rechargeable custom hearing aids with a lithium-ion battery and custom charger.
